Dr. Lilian Ijomah Olanrewaju is an educational specialist with extensive experience working with special education students in grades K-12 and juvenile justice-involved youth in grades 6-12.

 She earned her undergraduate degree in English from Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) in 2004. In 2008, she obtained her teaching certification and a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Saint Joseph, formerly known as Saint Joseph College. Dr. Ijomah Olanrewaju furthered her education at CCSU, earning a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with a 092 (Administration and Supervision) certification in 2013 and a doctoral degree in Education in 2021. 

Dr. Ijomah Olanrewaju is also an adjunct faculty at Sacred Heart University. She has served on the education committee of the Juvenile Justice Policy and Oversight Committee (JJPOC), collaborating on the creation and implementation of juvenile justice policies, including Public Act 21-174, which aims to improve the education of juvenile justice-involved youth and enhance educational outcomes systemwide. Additionally, Dr. Ijomah Olanrewaju is a Connecticut Court Support Services Division (CSSD) restorative justice leadership team member and a seasoned researcher of restorative justice practices, offering a non-punitive approach to addressing disciplinary issues. 

Since 2022, she has been a member of The Village’s Hartford Juvenile Review Board, where she has contributed to diverting juvenile offenders to alternative programs and services, addressing their behaviors with a clear path to success, and preventing any further involvement in the juvenile justice system.
